The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Artworker with strong design skills, a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for visual communication to join our in-house Marketing team.

This is a hands-on creative role covering a broad range of digital and print work, including campaigns, social content, slide decks, brochures, advertising and digital assets.

You’ll be part of an established team of designers and marketing specialists, working alongside colleagues across social media, content, data and web, as well as liaising with senior colleagues, clients and teams across the wider business.

This isn't a senior or management position. However, it is an opportunity to make the role your own. As you get to know our brands and audiences, you’ll have the freedom to develop your creative style, contribute ideas and take ownership of projects.

Opportunities like this don’t come up often at ETL, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a busy and varied in-house environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop creative concepts and turn briefs into engaging, effective visual communications.
  • Produce and adapt artwork across different channels while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Work confidently with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Collaborate with designers and colleagues across content, social media, web and data.
  • Liaise with senior colleagues and clients to understand briefs and develop the right creative solution.
  • Contribute ideas, challenge briefs where appropriate and bring your own creative perspective to projects.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Check artwork carefully to ensure accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Creative Artworker, Graphic Designer or in a similar creative role.
  • A strong understanding of design, typography, layout, composition and visual communication.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
  • Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Someone who is collaborative, proactive and comfortable contributing ideas.
  • Someone who is keen to develop their skills and take ownership of their work.

Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp/HubSpot, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace would be useful, but isn't essential.

A relevant degree or qualification is desirable, but your portfolio and creative ability are more important to us.

Your Portfolio

Your portfolio is an essential part of your application.

We want to see you as a designer and an artist, your creativity, design standards, visual style and range.

Your portfolio does not need to include professional-services work. We’re interested in the quality and variety of your creative work, wherever it comes from.

We’re looking for a varied, curated portfolio, rather than a few individual examples attached to your CV. This could include branding, digital, print, advertising, campaigns, social media, illustration, typography, slide decks or personal creative projects.

A CV with a few attached examples is not considered a portfolio. A link to a full design portfolio is required to be considered for interview.
