Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at ETL

We know that different perspectives make us stronger, smarter and more successful. We want every colleague to feel valued, respected and able to be their authentic self at work, no matter their background, identity or experience.

Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion influences how we recruit, develop and support colleagues, and strengthens the way we serve clients and engage with communities across the UK.

When people feel included, they’re more confident to share ideas, take initiative and contribute to great outcomes. That’s why DE&I is part of everything we do, not an afterthought.

Our Commitment

Creating an Inclusive Culture

DE&I isn’t just a statement, it’s embedded in our everyday work. We focus on building an environment where equity is prioritised, diverse voices are heard, and inclusion is actively lived through collaboration, learning, and support.

Through these pillars, we ensure that diversity is celebrated, equity is upheld, and inclusion is tangible, creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, develop, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

Diversity in Action

The People Who Make It Real

Diversity is more than a goal, it’s lived through daily experiences. Colleagues thrive in an environment where different backgrounds, perspectives, and career ambitions are valued.

How we bring diversity to life:

Safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can contribute.

Structured development, mentoring, and cross-firm growth.

Communities supporting gender, ethnicity, LGBTQ+, accessibility, and wellbeing.

Pro bono, volunteering, and socially responsible initiatives that make a difference.

What we're doing

Turning Commitment into Action

We actively translate our DE&I principles into programmes and initiatives that ensure equity across the employee lifecycle.

Roles are advertised with clear criteria, and our hiring processes aim to be transparent and accessible, helping ensure candidates from diverse backgrounds are assessed fairly.

Across the group, colleagues benefit from mentoring, coaching and peer learning opportunities that help build confidence, technical skills and leadership capability.

Many firms run activities such as unconscious bias awareness, inclusive leadership discussions and team learning sessions, supporting a workplace where people understand and respect different perspectives.

Employee groups and informal colleague communities support connection and engagement across offices and disciplines, helping people feel welcomed and supported beyond their immediate teams.

Your Role

Contribute to a Culture That Works

Every colleague helps shape an inclusive workplace. You can make an impact by:

  • Supporting mentoring, coaching, and peer-learning opportunities across the group
  • Promoting fairness in recruitment, progression, and project allocation
  • Joining Employee Groups or contributing to community and social initiatives

Together, these actions help create a workplace where all colleagues feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
